Connect CU Support TY Mini Company
Just Tap, a local Transition Year Mini Company from St. Mary’s College Dundalk, was formed by three students, Callum Moore, Eoin Carpenter, and Sam Sweeney who participated in the Student Enterprise Programme. The three aspiring entrepreneurs utilised NFC technology and natural materials like wood to create a distinctive tag with various practical applications. NFC (Near Frequency Communication) is a small chip that requires no power, but is used in everyday life such as contactless payments.
Simply tapping your smartphone to the innovative keyrings, you can instantly access the link or profile that is programmed to the chip. Just Tap keyrings can be used by businesses to channel customers to their social media profiles, contact information, or any webpage, making it a convenient digital alternative to traditional business cards, saving both paper and expenses.
This unique selling point was a key deciding factor for local Connect Credit Union, who agreed to place a bulk order. Just Tag keyrings provides a distinctive method for Connect Credit Union to market and promote their products and services, allowing them to connect with potential members whilst engaging with the community in an eco-friendly way.
From the drawing board in September to today, the Just Tap Team have had great success. This success will continue as they will represent the Marist School in the county final, held in the Fairways Hotel on the 3rd of March.
